Make Your House A Home

Let us take a field trip down memory lane, just a few short months ago. The smell of turkey in the oven, stuffing piled on your plate, and being thankful for your life. Skip a few weeks to the pine tree in your living room, presents fill your closets to hide away before the big day, and a sense of joy and excitement to welcome the Christmas spirit. You blink and it’s now New Year’s. You’re counting down the seconds, huddled around your living room couch or kitchen table with the Times Square New Years Eve Ball Drop on, volume cranked up, waiting to kiss and hug your loved ones. What do all of these events have in common? What makes us keep going, living the grind, sacrificing all we have? It’s about love. It’s about friendship. It’s about family. It's about having that sense of home.

Your home, your apartment, and if you’re in San Francisco or New York, your closet (I mean let’s be real), is a direct reflection of you! It’s where you welcome your parents for the first time you are living on your own, and you've landed that job to show them you’re growing up. Its when you and your girlfriend decide it’s time to take the next step, and soon enough her toothbrush and your top drawer of that dresser you love, have been commandeered by lacy bras and pink pj’s. It’s when you come home from the hospital, exhausted like you’ve never been, holding this living, breathing, little person you made (whether you were ready or not!) and you proudly place your baby in a crib you worked so hard to buy, in a clean decorated room you stayed up countless hours hammering and painting away to get ready for that moment. It's when you're last kid (you know the one you were worried about) graduates from high school and get's accepted to the school they wanted. You pack the last of their room and realize that now it's just the two of you again. Its game night, poker nights with the guys, fights and makes up with your husband, movie night, holidays, birthdays, the list is endless.

All of this came up in conversation between two friends over two beers some three odd years ago. We came up with a crazy idea where we wanted to create a place where this matters. We’re in the making memories business. We’re in the family business. We just happen to be in the furniture business, where we strive to make it affordable and offer great products.
